7 Strongest Demons In The Series

The world of One Piece is massive, and Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the series, has introduced a lot of exciting elements to the story, which also include Demons. Demons exist in the world of One Piece in various forms. Some are turned into Demons using dark energy, while others exist as demons through Devil Fruit powers.

There are also characters who build demonic abilities that give them the aura of demons in the One Piece world. Out of all these characters, only a few can be called the strongest, and Oda has made sure to give all of them exciting roles in the story.

Nico Robin

Affiliation: Straw Hat Pirates

Nico Robin is the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates who joined the crew after the events of the Arabasta arc. Robin has always been called the demon child, and this is because of her connections to Ohara, the island where scholars studied Poneglyphs long ago. Nico Robin also has the ability of the Hana Hana no Mi, which is a powerful Paramecia Devil Fruit that allows her to sprout her limbs and even full parts of her body within a certain range.

Nico Robin, in the Wano arc, unlocked her demon form called Demonio Fleur, which allows her to create a demonic version of herself. This gives her a massive buff in terms of strength and every other physical attribute. This power of hers was used to crush Black Maria, and its full capabilities remain unknown, but it makes Robin a very powerful demon.

Sanji

Sanji is one of the Wings of the Pirate King and among the strongest in the Straw Hat Pirates. Sanji is incredibly skilled in terms of kick fighting and has always relied on them in combat. Even though he doesn’t have a Devil Fruit ability or any weapon, he is still incredibly strong at melee combat.

Sanji has tapped into demonic powers ever since Enies Lobby through the power of Diable Jambe. Diable Jambe is known to summon the power of the Devil itself. In fact, in Thriller Bark, Sanji was seen transforming into a devil by the Captain, Monkey D. Luffy. Sanji created an even stronger version called Ifrit Jambe in Wano, which literally translates to Demon Wind Leg. His evolution as a demon continues as One Piece moves forward.

Roronoa Zoro

Just like Sanji, Zoro is also one of the Wings of the Pirate King and an individual who uses demonic powers in One Piece. Zoro isn’t technically a demon, but when he taps into his Nine Sword Style and brings forward the spirit of Asura, Zoro attains demonic powers. Zoro even utilizes the Demon Aura Nine Sword Style in this form, which boosts his attack power by three times.

Demon Aura Nine Sword Style remains Zoro’s ultimate move at this point. Its strength was great enough to injure even Kaido in the Wano Country Arc, and its pinnacle has not been shown to us yet. Zoro most certainly has demonic energy, and even individuals like Kaku have commented on him being akin to a demon itself.

Dorry and Brogy

Affiliation: Giants of Elbaf

Dorry and Brogy are two of the co-captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates of Elbaf. These two are incredibly strong on their own, but in the events of the Elbaf arc, they were Domi Reversed by none other than Nerona Imu. This gave them demonic energy, which stems from the Akuma no Mi, and turned them into giant demons.

Dorry and Brogy, in their demonic forms, were incredibly dangerous. In fact, no one other than Loki and Luffy could have defeated them in Elbaf. Given that their cumulative bounty was 3.6 billion berries at this point already, by stacking on top of that the powers of immortality, regeneration, and superhuman strength, these two would most certainly have been Yonko-level threats together. With a stroke of luck, these two ended up defeating each other and turned back into their normal human forms. Undoubtedly, their demonic forms made them forces of nature which could not be stopped by anyone.

Princess Shuri

Princess Shuri is another incredibly powerful demon in the One Piece world. While Shuri existed as a Princess of the Esperia kingdom, she was domi reversed by Nerona Imu at some point. Later down the line, she was bestowed a Covenant by Imu and, in the Elbaf arc, was taken over by the King of the World completely.

Under Imu’s influence, Princess Shuri, or Gunko, was a force to be reckoned with, stronger than even the likes of Dorry and Brogy. She was single-handedly able to take down almost the entirety of Elbaf, and no one would have been able to stand in her way. This goes to show the demonic power that she possessed. Even Luffy struggled to defeat her in combat, and she was only beaten when Loki, using the power of Ragnir, was able to freeze her for good.

Rocks D. Xebec

Affiliation: Rocks Pirates

During the God Valley Incident 38 years ago, Rocks went face to face with Nerona Imu and failed to defeat him. He was immediately Domi Reversed by the King of the World and turned into a Demon. The power of this demon was such that his Conqueror’s Haki split the skies by itself.

Rocks’s demonic powers were on a completely different level from what we have seen from other demons in One Piece. To defeat him, Roger and Garp had to join forces, and together they were barely able to scrape a victory. Roger and Garp were helpless in this battle for the most part, and most of their attacks coated with both Armament and Conqueror’s Haki were not able to pierce through Rocks’s defenses. This goes to show the level that Rocks operated on in this fight. By using the critical mass of their Haki at maximum output, these two were able to finally “kill” Rocks and bring him back to his senses. Unfortunately, Rocks was immediately finished off by Garling Figarland. With the death of Rocks, the entirety of God Valley sank into the ocean, never to be seen again. This marked the beginning of a new era, with the dissolution of the Rocks Pirates and the emergence of the Roger Pirates as the new legendary crew on the seas.

Nerona Imu

Undoubtedly, the strongest demon that we have seen in One Piece is none other than Nerona Imu. Imu is the King of the World who, at some point long ago, attained the power of the Akuma no Mi. This is the ultimate Devil Fruit in the One Piece world, which allows one to transform into a demon god. Nerona Imu’s powers allow him to grant Covenants to his subordinates, which give them immortality and regeneration, along with superhuman strength, at the cost of making them vessels for Imu’s dark energy. At the same time, Imu can also turn others into demonic slaves. Furthermore, Imu has the power of Maki, which he can use for attacking and defending against attacks.

Imu’s demon powers manifest themselves in the form of different transformations, which we have seen in Elbaf.

Imu’s powers are stronger than Luffy’s Nika powers as well as the Nidhoggr powers of Loki. All things considered, Imu is the strongest demon in One Piece by far and has continued to show his dominance across centuries. Imu’s demon powers were also able to triumph over Joy Boy long ago, although the specifics of that battle remain unknown to this day.
